Kinabuti visit to Simone Cipriani, founder of the Ethical Fashion Initiative

The Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI) is a flagship programme of the International Trade Centre (ITC), a joint agency of the United Nations and World Trade Organization, founded by Simone Cipriani and actively involved in and encourages the building of a more ethical and responsible fashion industry.

Caterina Bortolussi, founder of Kinabuti, the ethical and afro-urban fashion label met with Simone Cipriani in Geneva at the office of the International Trace Centre to talk about Ethical Fashion and partnerships.

Both organizations, EFI and Kinabuti  work with the rising generation of fashion talent from Africa and encourage the forging of ethical, sustainable and creative collaborations with artisans from the continent as well as sharing a common goal to build a responsible fashion industry that measures its impact. Listen to Simone Cipriani talking about Ethical Fashion.

The ITC's mission directly contributes to achieving the United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development (SDGs), focusing on trade as a tool to eradicate poverty and promote inclusive and sustainable growth through: diversification, value addition, youth employment, women's economic empowerment and environmental sustainability through trade-related development projects.
